Why Humbirdhum?

It started with a photograph in 1997.  An abandoned train yard alongside the Mad River, several young children looking for something to do and clambering about, posing for pictures.  One of the cars had the faded words ‘HumBird Lumber’; a photograph taken and a new joy found.

I take photographs of the world surrounding me, in this wonderful place of Humboldt.  This is a blog of imagery, not words.  Of subjects I find of interest in the moment.  Enjoy.  Jill
