A quick jaunt to St. Joseph, Michigan earlier this week ~ I wandered down to the beach to explore and found this little lighthouse.

 

On a whirlwind trip to Washington, D.C. to meet with various representatives and the staffers last week.  While I was only able to capture the sights as they flashed by the Metro or taxi, I was able to stop for a moment in between meetings.  I pulled my trusty camera from my bag, snaked my arms through the iron wrought fence, focused and captured the White House in a warm evening glow.  Snapped a couple of photos, then bolted, high heels and all, to catch up with my party…

A young Great Heron took flight above Redwood Creek this afternoon.

 

 

Stopped by Natural Bridges State Park (Santa Cruz) late one afternoon, and the air was filled with flashes of flying sunshine.  Monarch Butterflies stay in this small State Park for the winter.  A must see for anyone passing through!  Here’s a short video clip too!
