A young Great Heron took flight above Redwood Creek this afternoon.

 

 

Stopped by Natural Bridges State Park (Santa Cruz) late one afternoon, and the air was filled with flashes of flying sunshine.  Monarch Butterflies stay in this small State Park for the winter.  A must see for anyone passing through!  Here’s a short video clip too!

Can’t believe it’s been almost 2 months since I last posted an image.  But perhaps this will explain why.

I have returned to ‘Life on the Klamath’ ~ after a year’s hiatus, I am returning to work on removal of the Klamath Dams.  I have greatly appreciated a year of quiet, reflection and photography especially as I find myself re-immersed in the political world of helping to promote durable solutions to a region long characterized by controversy and conflict.
